Could you elaborate a bit more on this? I just had mine replaced for the same issue and it came back just as bad if not worse...

Yikes--waiting for the glass to come in so mine can be replaced. Hopefully whichever installer my dealer uses does it correctly. This doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

All I know for sure is that source of the noise is the Windshield upper reveal molding. Both my replacements were with factory glass done at dealer.

So that does not mean the body was prepped right removing all the old sealant, the new sealant was the proper one, fresh and unopened, applied correctly, the glass was properly cleaned and got no fingerprints on the sealing surface, placed in position correctly with no movement and correct pressure ... and allowed to cure BEFORE the car was moved.

It's the dealer right? Seriously though your right, you never know how well the prep work was done but with two pieces of factory glass (Which I had to wait a month for each) and two different installers the dealer used the odds are pretty stratospheric if you consider it had to also been done wrong at the factory for this to happen.

I'm a pragmatic guy, so I wont debate the finer aspects of mastic install but a small application of rubber lubricant absolutely resolved the issue and it has not come back in over 6 months, so fingers crossed I'm going to call it done

My car SO does this. I’m so thankful it might be something as simple as some lubricant for the seal. I was not excited about the thought of a new windshield.
