I started vaping 7 years ago to stop smoking. Sense of taste and smell came back after a couple of weeks. My Blood Pressure dropped down to normal and I quit coughing in about the same amount of time. I still crave a cigarette every now and then, but I know how bad it smells. And how bad it is for me. I am down to almost no nicotine, but still haven't made up my mind to walk away from it.

I know some need to vape to quit cigarettes. But if you guys knew how ridiculous you look sucking from those pens. Maybe you'd quit vaping. Every time I see someone vaping, I can't help but laugh.

OP: Don't get any discouragement from this statement. Even if you're being laughed at by everyone, you are still the winner because you are no longer inhaling the smoke from burning chemicals.

PS: People laughing at me is ok, it means one of my (normally lame) jokes was a hit! lol

My dad smoked for many many years. Tried to quit many times, trying many different tricks. One day while leading a cow up to the barn in the morning, with heavy dew on the ground, he slipped and fell under the cow, taking out her legs on the way down. She ended up falling on his chest, breaking a few ribs. Hurt so bad he could hardly breath for a few weeks, let alone smoke. Hasn't smoked since, and I'm guessing that was probably 20 yrs ago or so. So, if all else fails, I can get you the address to the farm and you can give that method a try. Anyway, good luck, I'm sure at some point your taste buds will start to thank you for giving up the cancer stick.

Big tobacco and a bunch of useful idiots are pushing hard with anti-vaping studies. A huge portion of smokers now think vaping is no better than inhaling the tar and burned materials of cigarettes. I have a bunch of friends pushing middle age that have been able to switch to vaping, and I know they're much better off for it.

First, good luck in dropping both the cigarettes and the vaping long term. I think the vaping has its place and is certainly better than smoking health wise.

Unfortunately the vape industry is on a full court press to get teens into vaping and teens are buying in. It is all over the schools. Just one more thing to watch out for, but as a parent of a 15-year old and having to deal with this I can tell you it is very difficult to detect, unlike smoking.

YUP, its still funny.

BUT Seriously, I believe the VAP is become a worst issue, specially with kids and flavored vap.
The motivational ads seem so twisted. But hey, the money is big, right?

Dropping back on the nicotine level from 12mg. to 6 mg.

I feel so much better health wise, sense of taste, smell have increased.

Blood pressure medicine has been cut in half.

I don't smell like an ashtray anymore.

Wife is kissing me more as well, guess that's good right?

Goal is to be totally off the nicotine addiction by the end of this year.

Still keeping my other bad habits though, excessive beer drinking, candy every day, and lots of greasy foods.

Decided to jump ahead of schedule a bit last week and drop to 3mg. nicotine to see if I could handle it.

My body was not happy, had a few unpleasant symptoms.

Worse than the uncomfortable feelings, I had a bit of a setback.

Went to the Valley Forge casino Sunday to meet a friend for his 80th birthday.

Everything was O.K. for the first hour or so, then I stupidly bought a pack of cigarettes figuring I would just smoke one or two, bad idea, after 10 hours of gambling, I came home with 6 cigarettes left.

I will have to go back to the 6mg. for another few months.

I am committed to making this happen, kind of pi$$ed off at myself right now.
