Holley Custom Valve Covers

I guess I'm OLD...
school, while I can appreciate the custom engine covers a lot of you have done I prefer seeing the engine.
Unfortunately looking at our engines without the cover the 1st thing you see is the mess of coils, brackets & wires covering the dull drab valve covers.
Fortunately Holley has the cure
Your choice of 4 finishes & 2 heights, I went with tall polished.
The coil's mount directly to the covers eliminating the coil mounting brackets.
They came with longer cover mounting bolts, you can reuse the coil mounting bolts but there're that dull silver color so I replaced them with black Allen head bolts.
The install..Driver's side is very easy probably took about 1/2 hour.
Passenger side is another story there's no issue bolting on the cover or the front 3 coil's. Because of the angle the spark plug wire on the rear coil is right up against the fire wall. I wound up cutting a piece from the original mounting bracket drilling holes in it to move the rear coil up & forward a bit for clearance. I'm not crazy about it but at least it's mostly hidden in the back.
I contacted Holley's tech team this morning & sent them pics, I'll update with what they come back with.

I totally agree but my performance shop in Houston, who are LS record holders at the Texas Mile, said put on any aftermarket valve cover and get ready for oil leaks. I pushed them hard and they basically said, go ahead, don't listen to us. I wish you a different result.

I used their covers out of necessity: my hydroboost was in my coils. Regarding your back coil issue, I had the same issue on my 57 and at the front on the driver side with the high mount alternator for Corvette accessories. Holley includes a bracket to move a coil, but it's useless, doesn't fit an LS3 coil. I ended up having to make some brackets. Geh... you think you pay enough, and it doesn't fit.

Well I was warned, the left cover started to leak. Turned out to be an easy fix just took me awhile to figure out what was causing it. On the left side the cover mounting bolts are directly under the coils.
The coil mounting bosses are just a hair too short, when I tightened down the coils they hit the cover mounting bolts pushing the cover away from the head. A flat washer between the boss & the coil & it's all good.
