Skip shift eliminator - forgive me for posting this but want to confirm part

I know there has been a lot written on this subject but I too am about to join the club and desire a skip shift eliminator. For the most part around town during work weeks, I just put around in my 2017 and the skip shift gets me. I don't mind the idea of skipping shifts; I do mind being locked out of the gear of my choice though. For a MY17, is it still part number 21008 I need? I'm admittedly not handy with cars so not sure I can do this myself but want to at least get the correct part ordered. I see them on ebay but if anyone knows of a better/cheaper way to purchase, it would be appreciated. Many thanks!

Iím no car guy either, but I installed mine on my Ď15 in 10 minutes. Itís just a plug and play part. The hardest parts are getting under the car (I used a neighbors ramps) and the finding the part on the transmission you actually need to plug into...you canít really see it as it is on top of the tranny. Just takes some feeling around.

I smile every time the skip shift motivation comes up on the dash but nothing happens.

It's easy to install. Lots of ones out there.

This is what I used:
Skip-Shift Eliminator - slponline.com

It was all GM connectors. Went right in no issues. Looked like a factory GM part.

A small-tipped, flathead screwdriver made the job that much easier for me!

I found the skip shift program to be totally annoying and even dangerous when entering an intersection. I had some work done at the dealer and included the muzzy as part of the work. It is still very notchy when cold and does not want to go into second but as soon as it warms up it works perfectly. A totally stupid move on GM's part IMO, but it is easy to get rid of it thank god.

The skip shift is very easy to drive around IMO. IF you do happen to get the message , just hang out in first gear a little while longer, the message goes away and you can then go on to second gear.
