Just saw that you closed my thread on contemplating the sale of my SS. I did not plan to sell my SS on the forum. I already have two guys that are interested in buying it locally. My thread was meant to be along the lines of: wrestling with the sale of a car I like for a vehicle that has better long term prospects of staying on the road. Never intended for this to be a sales venue.

Understood. However we have very strict rules regarding how items are presented on this site. Speculation threads almost always devolve into a breach of the rules. PM is the proper avenue if other members desire to converse with you regarding your post.

    Hi Pinetree,
I’ve been inactive for a few years, so I’ve probably missed a lot. I was looking for any comments from CB 750. Did a search, nothing comes up in the member listings, did he give up his membership, get banned, maybe passed on? I would appreciate anything you can tell me here, or if you wish, send me a text
    Thanks, Mike Novak

You are SOOOOO patient. So patient, if you have kids they must be spoiled 'cause you sure were great handling the automagic "get it outta park" questionsssss without blowing a fuse in your head!

Good to have you in one of the hot seats as super duper mods...

Pinetree, question: I have a 2017 SS and recently installed the Rotofab intake, do I need to get a tune up and if so which one is the best?

CIA alone does not require obtaining a tune since the computer is able to compensate for the small change in airflow. Further mods like long tube headers will require a custom tune by a reputable tuner well versed in LS3 tuning.
If you ave an A6 then a custom tune might be beneficial due to improved transmission shift points and firmness, but be dead certain the tuners is good with the 6L80E used in our SS.

    Hello again Pinetree,
That does bring up a good point. Unlike the previous mentioned "Garage Businesses" I do have a legitimate business. I have my own building and I've started designing and manufacturing parts for the Additive Manufacturing Industry.
Would I be able to apply for vendor status and how would I start the process.
Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks again !

We have few "garage business" members such as yourself who are pushing the classifieds beyond acceptable limits state in the classified rules. We are trying to corral that better than we have in the past, hence the removal of veiled sales offers from any section of the forum.
Members who wish to sell their garage business wares and services on the forum should acquire vendor credentials.

I am curious...I got a private message from a member. Details shows the member only joined 12 hours ago, and has no post history. How was this member able to pm me? When I joined, i had to have a certain post history before I could pm anyone. Has the policy changed?

    Thanks,
    Dennis

This nearly always happens after the member has posted a WTB or ISO thread in the classifieds. Sender usually states that they know someone that happens to have that exact item the member is searching for and gives an email address to contact.
It's probably a scam so we ban the sender as soon as we are alerted.
Send the name to the Mod Team and we will take care of it.
    Thanks

What killed mine was sitting for 12 weeks in the garage without being driven while we were in San Antonio. Didn't have the Battery Tender at the time and didn't think to put the SS in transport mode. It started afterward but was really sluggish to turn over. Dealer tested and confirmed a weak cell so they replaced the battery.

Hey Pine, just seems like it's getting tougher to keep things on an even keel these days. Just wanted to know that I do appreciate you for making the attempt. Still a lot of good stuff to had on this Forum, IMO...
    Thanks,

    Jay

I think it would be quite reasonable to require the seller to post the VIN from which the wheels are coming off. We had some nasty stories here not that long ago...

That would be quite a challenge since some owners have an unwarranted fear of publicly posting their VIN. It would also create an additional hassle for the Mods to monitor and police as needed.
Finally, a buyer should always vett the product and the source.
    Thanks for the input.

He's still around and doing okay. Just got his feelings trampled a bit and isn't posting right now.

You might try sending a request to socialmedia@gm.com. Ask for the build data of your Chevrolet SS sedan. Give the year model and VIN. Alternately you might reach out to member @ben98gs. He has a spreadsheet full of production data that may help.
