What is sad is that about 6 months ago a Belgian businessman put forward a proposal to buy Holden from GM, and continue building the Commodore plus other shelved versions of the Zeta platform.

GM decided they would prefer to let the Commodore (and Holden) wither on the vine.

GM screwed up Saab, Holden and continue to have no clue with Opel. Sad since these brands all made/make great cars. But it takes real understanding on how to market them properly. GM can't even get Cadillac right despite the great cars they are making. Yup, sad.

Probably no change. Only Opel Buicks right now are Regal and Cascada. Regal is currently made in Oshawa (they were imported for Russelsheim in '11) on a shared Epsilon platform. Only question would be where does the next Regal end up.

Cascada is imported and sells in miniscule volumes, if I had to guess I'd say it gets dropped.

Anyone buying any GM brand needs to look at how well the SAAB sale worked for Spyker. If they buy it, if history is any indication they will be screwed by the details surrounding the engineering. GM hammered Spyker cause a major investor was from a country that GM did not want to share its past engineering with.

It's bound to be a bad deal for Peugeot.

Probably won't happen, how many time do we hear about Chrysler trying to sell its self to GM and that hasn't happened.
