Talking Ultimate Pedals foot rest / dead pedal cover installed

My son's got me the Ultimate Pedal's foot rest cover like ls3SS installed for Christmas and I was able to put it on yesterday.

Cost $90 including shipping. Order a 2009 Pontiac G8 heel guard frosted silver with domed inserts and in the comments section add, "2014/5 SS sedan foot rest cover". I added a black painted 3/4" hardwood spacer behind the 1/4" thick foot rest to bring the face of the pedal out a total of 1". I'm 5'8" with 31" inseam and size 12 shoes (yeah, built in skis) and this put less strain on my left foot reaching the foot rest.

The spacer is screwed to the plastic OE foot rest with 4ea 1" fine thread drywall screws. I then screwed the foot rest cover to the spacer with the included screws after painting them black. Overall I'm quite pleased with the result.

enjoy !
