Local FL dealer told me SS is coming next year?

I called my local Chevy dealer here in Tampa today to see if their SSs had arrived so I could see one in person. They also happen to be the biggest Chevy dealer in the state. They told me their SSs are coming next spring? Are they confused or is there that long of a delay for East Coast dealers to get their cars??

Ummm unless they specifically aren't getting anything till then I assume they have been huffing some pretty good paint thinners .

Also welcome to the Forum. I think there were some headed down that way but I can check for you.

On the Chevrolet Cars, Trucks, SUVs, Crossovers and Vans site when you do a inventory search for the SS it comes up with 16 cars within 45 miles of Tampa (I used the post or zip code 33601)
They may still be in transit, however if they come up in the search it generally means they are at least in the US as they can't really be tracked until they have been processed and validated at the port of entry

Funny, I used ZIP 33602 for my search and was about to post the same count of cars.

Thank you for your help. The Chevy website inventory search showed that that dealership had 3 SSs (maybe in transit?). I must have spoke with an out-of-the-loop salesman?

Maybe they meant if you were to order one you wouldn't get it until next spring.

Or his first day. You would be surprised how many salesman know absolutely nothing about what they sell

Rogue salesman. That guy I guess doesn't do very well at his job. I couldn't see any reason why Florida wouldn't get SSs like the rest of the country is going to. Have you figured out this mix-up with the dealership now. Are you going to get your SS on time?

sometimes all they hire is someone with a pretty face that knows how to talk but lacks any knowledge about what they sell, they just learn on the go.
