Will the 14-15 hood fit a 16-17?

I'm just curious. I personally do not like the hood vents and was wondering if there were any other differences besides the vents.

It will fit. Vents are the only difference.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often.

I had an 05+ Tacoma TRD Sport with the fake hood scoop; the TRD Off Road did not have the scoop. When that gen Tacoma was new, hood trading was a big thing. The scoop was so polarizing; you either loved it or hated it. You guys complain about the shiny interior trim.... when the sun hit that scoop the right way, it would literally blind you.

I don't really notice the vents because my car is black. But occasionally I'll see a HW or SIM and think that I'm not so sure about the vents...

We'll all be glad later when the supply starts drying up.

The vents on white are awesome, especially from inside the car. People always compliment on them when riding in passenger seat.

The hood vents on the 16/17 SS are functional however, not just for looks.
Regarding the look, I like the vents, makes it look a bit more aggressive and less Malibu like.

I concur. I love the looks of the 16-17 vents. It does take away from the sleeper vibe though.

I don't mind the vents due to the functionality, I just wish they would have painted them body color.
