Why Change to Holden Badges?

Gotta ask, why change over to Holden badges? Dare to be different, or just making the car more unique than it is? I already get lots of questions about my SS because most people have never seen one. That being said, I'll admit, I sometimes have to tell people it's NOT a Malibu!

I think it's more about the true heritage of what the car is, a Commodore.
We get the Bow Tie "Sam's Choice" label. I feel it may mean more as of
now Holden soon to be now more.
I can remember old magazines when I was a kid. Some of the ads had
pictures of what looked a lot like Impala's. I thought it amazing that
other countries had them too. To have an entire industry leave a country
is not only sad but Tragic...

Yeah, I've read that Australians with Commodores often rebadge them as Chevrolets!

1) The gold Chevy bowties are ugly. The Holden badge design is far better.

2) Eliminates Malibu questions/comments, instead people ask WTF is it and whether its a Jag or something else more exotic. Lots of looks from people while just driving down the street.

3) Its cheap and easy to do.

4) Its a rebadged Holden, might as well put the original badging back on: http://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/g6888/best-rebadged-cars/

I've wondered the same thing, why the conversions?? I do understand the originality aspect but for me the funds can be better spent to pay off the loan and eventually get go-fast goodies...

A black Holden badge on the back looked better than the big gold bow tie on a white car IMO.
Did that and black vinyl on the front, cost maybe $40 total. Didn't feel like spending the money on the full front conversion.

From what I heard, it is only the hillbillies who do that.
