Default Car and Driver: SS vs Charger SRT8

Downloaded the iPad version late last night and took screenshots of everything. Enjoy!

Thanks for posting the article and the pictures! Saved me a trip to the store to try and find a copy. I'm not surprised at the outcome. I remember the mags picked the G8 over the Charger back in 08 and this review makes the same points. I can imagine some people might think the SS looks soft next to the Charger but I'll pick performance over looks any day.

Thanks for posting it! Saves me a trip too.

Interesting how they mentioned it being inspired by the BMW E39. I always saw the G8 that way and this proves my point. Current BMWs aren't really driver's cars anymore so it's nice to see something step up to replace what they used to be. I also like how it out-grips the S6 and M5, and without AWD or trick differentials.

Oh, and the part about "the SS's 45 grand feels completely justified" must have TT C6 frothing at his keyboard.

The guys who designed the VE were hired by Holden from BMW and were the same guys who designed the late 90's 5 series. Trying to find a reference for this, but I remember it being discussed back when the G8 was released.

I know I'm being picky, but when did the LS3 start having a Redline of 6000rpm ? All those I'm familiar with red line at 6600rpm.

I'm not shocked, but I am impressed. It's my kind of car.
